“Casa al Piano” takes its name from our ancient farmhouse, also called Casa al Piano, which is depicted on the label as well.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with an intense ruby-red color; it is aged in French oak barriques for 12 months, developing spicy notes and soft, well-integrated tannins.

FUN FACT
“PietraNova 1698” takes its name from the estate, while the year—taken from the engraving on the stone plaque set into one of the farmhouse walls during its construction—recalls the historic significance of the site.

COMPOSITION
Produced from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, selected through meticulous sorting during the harvest; aging for 18 months in French oak barriques enhances its elegance and remarkable aging potential.

FUN FACT
Renzo” features on the label the handwritten signature of Lorenzo Tringali-Casanuova, the former owner known to everyone as Renzo. Upon his father’s passing in 2005, his son decided to dedicate the label of the estate’s first Bolgheri Superiore to him.

COMPOSITION
The flagship wine of PietraNova. Only the finest Merlot grapes are carefully selected to produce this single-varietal wine. Eighteen months of aging in French oak barriques make it a timeless wine.

FUN FACT
Liborio” was born with the 2013 harvest from Franco Pravettoni’s desire to create a memorable Bolgheri Merlot. The choice of name is no coincidence: Franco owes his love for the land—which ultimately led him to PietraNova—to his dearly beloved Tuscan uncle, Liborio. Dedicating this label to him is a tangible expression of his affection.

COMPOSITION
A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes vinified as a white wine; the harvest takes place around the end of August. Its minerality, reminiscent of the sea, and the aroma of white flowers make it perfect for any occasion.

FUN FACT
Before the Bolgheri area became so famous for red wines, this region was primarily used for producing rosé wines. In 2012, our winemaker, Barbara Tamburini, proposed creating a Bolgheri Rosé, “just 3 rows of vineyard.” Hence the name “3 file”.
